Mural Making Intensive
Instructor Christina Wolfe
Christina Wolfe is a professional artist, muralist, and educator specializing in community-based art and digital media. With over 13 years of experience in art education, she currently teaches high school graphic design and photography, blending traditional and digital techniques to encourage student creativity and artistic exploration. Christina holds a studio arts degree from Ohio State University, focusing on metal casting and fabrication, and is completing her master’s in art education at PennWest.
Her work emphasizes placemaking and storytelling through large-scale murals that inspire connection and celebrate community histories. Notably, Christina created a mural commemorating the centennial anniversary of the women’s suffrage movement, paying tribute to the contributions of women in shaping social progress. She has led numerous public art projects that engage diverse audiences, fostering a sense of collective ownership and creativity through collaborative mural-making.
Christina will guide participants through the complete mural creation process for this intensive mural workshop at the Erie Art Museum, from concept development to hands-on painting. Centered on the theme of "Envision," this workshop invites participants to co-create a powerful visual narrative, transforming space and building community through art.

On the first day, you'll brainstorm ideas together. From there, participants will collaborate to design and execute a mural that will be installed as a semi-permanent feature in the Erie Art Museum's classroom.
