Workshop Description

Whether you're an experienced printmaker or new to the craft, this workshop provides an accessible introduction to collagraph printing. You'll have the opportunity to experiment with textiles and apply hand-toned coloring techniques to your prints. Under the guidance of Heather M. Mikolaj, a current EAM exhibiting artist featured in the Pittsburgh Fiberarts Guild: Members Exhibition, you'll embrace the joy of process and play, creating unique and texturally rich composition.

This workshop meets on Saturday September 28th from 10 am – 1 pm at the Erie Art Museum

Materials Required

$15 materials fee paid via cash or check to the instructor on the first day of class.

All materials for creating printing plates will be provided for a $15 materials fee, which students can keep for future use. Please bring a pair of scissors (embroidery scissors are ideal), tweezers, and a pencil sharpener. Indicate your preferred primary color for colored pencils when registering; pencils will be provided and are yours to keep. Students are welcome to bring small amounts of fabrics, ribbons, and threads, though all necessary materials will be supplied.
